[ best I ever had ]

♥ every time I call her up...

Laura

Hey!  Happy Sunday everyone!  I just got back from the park with my brothers a little bit ago.  Talked to Stefan for a while, saw a snake, that scared the shite out of us and went back inside.  I really need to do my maths homework, it will give me up to 10% on my final.

back in buckingham, year 6Haha, that’s me down there in the lower right corner being weird.  It was our last day in Buckingham Primary School.  So many memories of that.  Wow.  I think I should try and find  some pictures to out up.  This is going to be a short post, I’m going to go and do some homework and plan a party.

[ he sunny, can we take ‘em to the bridge? ]

Uhh…okay :)

Laura

Blah, so here I am, at home babysitting my little devilish brothers.  I was just at an Open House for my brother’s good friends, Patrick and Brad.  I suppose they are my friends too. :)  it was fun, ate cupcakes and pasta salad and fruit, drinking sprite, and of course, playing some hardcore badminton!  We made a pretty interesting team, if I do say so myself.  Well, I only got to go to that one Open House, because I have to babysit, unfortunately.  Oh how I hate babysitting SO much.  It’s so annoying, but, whatever.i want to keep my cap haha

I’m watching  “John Tucker Must Die” .  It’s interesting, funny… stupid guys.  Blah, I feel like today is a movie and a cuppa day.  Yeah, that sounds pretty nice right about now, I’ll be back, I have to go make some Chamomile tea.   Okay, I’m back, and this tea is perfection.  Well, Today wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t super boring either.  Ugh, shoot me, I just said “super boring”… I need to chillax on the U.S. lingo there.  Well, I hope you all have a good day and hit some Open Houses for some free grub and badminton games!

[ the post is here the post is here ]

--> letters come from far and near <--

Laura

air mail envelopes are colourful :) I got a letter today from my friends Cathryn.  I love getting international post!  I need to write her back ASAP.  British stamps are so much prettier than American stamps, probably because the queen is much prettier than the Liberty Bell ha ha.  Today was a good day, I got some people to sign my Yearbook and had an overall easy day work-wise.  she has a pretty dressThe only homework I really need to do is start on my story for English.  We have to write a non-gender-biased fairytale.  Mine is about a dinosaur… I like it so far, I have to do all of the illustrations for it too.  But when it’s all done, I’ll post the pictures on here so You can all see it.  My little brothers may go up North to my Grandma’s cottage this weekend, that would be nice, because then I can go to some Open Houses and hang out with friends instead of babysitting them.  I babysit way too much, I really need to get out more, I really do.  Well, I hope everyone had a great day, and please, enjoy your weekend as much as you can!  <3

[ this could be the end of a beautiful friendship ]

..::  && it’s a long way down tonight ::..

Laura

Good day today!  It started off nicely and ended even better!  First, I went to school as normal, had a lecture and watched a film on the electric car, and who killed it.  And then I went to get my yearbook during excel.  It’s pretty decent, it takes a lot of money to put together and a lot of hard work, so they did a fab job overall.  They made a few errors (see previous post) but their only human.  So I got people to sign my yearbook, some wrote lovely little notes, and others… not so much.  But I’ll remember them regardless.  Then, I got to miss half of fourth hour and the whole of fifth hour for PALS.  I’m  not in PALS but Mrs. Seyka asked if I could go with them.  So I went to the Middle School with some members of the group so we could talk to the eight graders about being in High School.  It was pretty cool, I got to see teachers that I haven’t seen in a few years, like Mrs. Busby and Mr. Christians and Mrs. Jackson.  Oh, and Mr. Gendreau too, don’t forget him.  We I spoke to his Reach students about High School, and answered their questions, it was cool.  animal rights club, i heart you :) So I got back to school, had ten minutes to spare before my next class started and then spent the rest of the day getting extra credit in maths.  After school we had the last Animal Rights Club meeting of the year, we had a bunch of food, thanks to everyone, and had fun with mock-awards, yearbook signing, rapping and stickers.  It’s been a good first-year for the club, I’m really glad I started it.  So here’s to you ARC!  :)

[ i’ll breath when i am able ]

“for now i’ll hold it in”

Laura

It was lashing rain today.pretty, but wont do jack in the rain  I love the rain so much, it’s so pretty and it doesn’t rain enough here.  But I got caught in the worst of it, unfortunately.  I got in the door and my shoes were full of water… ick.  Yearbooks were released today, I didn’t get one yet, but they made a mistake in it that pissed me off.  They gave someone else all the credit for initiating the Animal Rights Club… and I worked my ass off to get that sorted out!  Whatever, I guess I don’t care that much, it’s just kind of stupid and irritating.  But, regardless of false information, I;m getting a yearbook this Friday or Thursday, $65.  They’re pretty big, and I’ve never gotten one before so, I’m overdue for one.  I may as well get one you know?  Nothing much happened today, aside from yearbooks and rain… so I’ll end it there instead of going on and on.

[ my boy builds coffins]

for the rich && the poor

Laura

I’m eating ice cream right now, cookie dough in a waffle cone.  One of my favourites actually.  And my little brother, Alex, is sitting here looking over my shoulder reading my words as I type them, waiting for me to be done so that he can play his cute little cartoon network games.  But to be honest, I enjoy a little CheeseQuest 3D every now and then.  giddy up horsie!It’s a pretty tight game actually.  Well, I think I’m in love… with Manchester Orchestra.  I love them so much, they’re exactly what I need when I want to wind down and just shut my eyes and listen to some good music.  Yes, it is love.  But right now I’m listening to Chiodos, ‘Life is a Perception of Your Own Reality’… good tune.  Sometimes putting my iTunes on shuffle works out, sometimes it doesn’t.  It might decide that it can play something hardcore-ish like Chiodos on minute, and then some Lily Allen the next.  I mean, I’m not arguing with it, but sometimes it seems to know  just what I want to listen to.  Today, (well, actually yesterday) I decided that I hate Twitter.  I don’t actually hate it, because I still use it.  It’s just, 140 characters isn't enough to express your mood or feelings most of the time, and when some people update their status in a very vague fashion, I’m just left sitting there staring at the screen like a dummy, with a pile of questions building up.    Stupid Twitter, grr.  But you should follow me on it anyway, http://twitter.com/Laura_E_Rose

Alright, I’ve blabbered on long enough for today.  Oh, and in case you didn’t notice, I’m hyper linking interesting or useful websites for your convenience--- or apparently not, since Blogger will only allow me to link to places in this blog for some reason… hmmm…

{When I look Into Her Eyes I Just See The Sky}

So sorry I haven's been keeping up with our blog! The internet is out at my house so I have to write it at my grandmother's house...blah. I had a very enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Laying out in the sun, watching NCIS marathons, Rachel's birthday party.... except I have to play at the Hindu Temple of Lansing for the seniors. Then there's school tomorrow, then finals, then the end of the school year! *sigh* time to get ready to play...

"I don't love you I'm just passing the time"

xx Hannah

[life doesn’t wait for the weekends anymore]

Laura

We’re throwing a barbeque today for Memorial Day.  It’s very unlike my family to do something so involved but, whatever.  There is a lot of food, including, ribs, chicken, burgers, vegetarianumm, vegetarian for me, thanks

burgers, potatoes, crisps, drinks, appetizers and much more.  We went out to the shops and did some recycling and got around $11 dollars in return, i had no idea we had 110 cans!  But anyways, we bough delicious food and drinks and set everything up.  My grandma is about to arrive so I’m to make this post short and sweet.  I hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day and fills their tummies up with yummy food.

[ it’s the little things you miss…]

{…like waking up, all alone}

my second home

Laura

Just got done talking to my cousin and family in Cork, Ireland.  I love them so much.  Shane and Trish left after a bit, but I was talking to Aoife and Lughaidh for quite a bit after they went out.  The best art of the whole thing is the fact that it’s free.  I’m going to miss Ireland so so so much this year.  Really, I mean, I've spent pretty much every summer of my life in Ireland, and if i haven’t been there over the summer, it’s because I lived there and went over to England instead.  Well, all that means is that I’m going to have to make this summer fantastic.  And I can’t do that alone!!!  So, everyone, we should hang out a bunch this summer!  Just hit me up on my mobile and we’ll plan an outing :).  Relax by MIKA is playing right now, it reminds me of the time I woke up at 4 in the morning, and heard my mum blasting MIKA from the stereo in the sitting room.  Good times.  Well, I think I’m going to go out now, and enjoy the warm warm sun.  And we have the day off tomorrow, for Memorial Day.  So, goodbye I guess.  :]

[ i just think that we’d get on ]

 “There ain’t no rest for the wicked, an money don’t grow on trees…”

Laura

That song is stuck in my head.  It’s the first day of the long i'd like to live hereweekend.  And I’ve been writing in this blog pretty solidly for the past three days, and that’s a good thing I guess.  :)  Nothing too interesting happening today.  Some babysitting, I’ll write some more later if anything does go down worth recording.  I can’t wait until summer!  13 days remaining including weekends!  I couldn’t be more excited, well I could, but, you know what I mean.  I’m reading Ashputtle right now, and if you don’t know the story, Google it, I’m one-hundred percent sure you’ve heard a version of the story.  Everyone has heard it before.     I love today!  I feel so uplifted and I just wish I could be this happy most of the time.  Even though my shoulder and arm still ache a lot… I’m happy.

[ i’d rather have a broken arm ]

[…than have my arms around you]

cloud watching sounds like a fun idea...

Laura

Today was the senior’s last day. And my phone isn’t working, and I screwed up my shoulder. Let’s go in order, shall we? Well, the seniors left our school (very loudly) today, and they decided to make it a big day, as usual. They drew all over the pavement with sidewalk chalk, put condiments on the car's of juniors and sophomores (ruining the paint-job) and yelling, screaming, and making the biggest scene they could make. God I’ll miss them. And about my phone being screwed up, it decided to cop-out and stop working at around 11am this morning… fantastic. It will be all better tomorrow though, but in the mean time, I wont be texting anyone. And about the whole shoulder incident, well, I was sitting at lunch with Hannah, and decided to move (for the third time) to a bench since the bugs on the grass were irritating the crap out of us. So I sat down and all of the sudden… BANG… the seat just falls back completely and i hit my shoulder (which already majorly ached from some muscle pain I had in that area already). I felt a ‘pop’ and a grinding sound. Not Good. The bench was missing four out of the six bolts it originally had. So I went to the clinic and they gave me some ice in a bag… so i ate the ice and asked for something that would actually it get's boring after a while :Phelp me. So now I have this pediatric ‘Snoopy and Woodstock’ themed sling that is about an inch too small for me (my other option was an extra-large sling that was way too big). So that’s my day in a nutshell. I hope you had a better one.

[ && i wonder how long it will take me to get home… ]

-- I'll wait for an hour or so at the carousel  --

only 3 left now :(Laura

I found a bird’s nest with my brothers a while ago… and lying right under it, in a sad, depressing little mound, was a dead baby bird that fell out of it. No one wanted to move it, so I guess it’s up to me to give it a little burial or something… poor thing. Senior's last day tomorrow. :( But a lot of the seniors are going to come back next week so that they can finish up some stuff, get yearbooks and clear out all of their stuff from their lockers. But they are officially done with school, tomorrow, when the bell rings at 2:35pm. Apparently there is supposed to be a senior prank at 9:09am tomorrow, but from what I’ve heard, it seems pretty hard to pull. But you never really know what the seniors are capable of until they do it.

{Signing off; Laura xx ♥ }

I'll send you a postcard when i get home

YAY!! I knew the time would come! I'm SMART IN MATH!!!!!!
So yeah......

LATER
Sorry for the short post, but my grandmother wanted to go to Macy's. That store is really depressing. Everywhere you look there's a sale sign and the sales people look so tired. My grandmother's personal shopper got laid off and is now joining the ranks of the lethargic sales people. I used to go there and marvel at how everything seemed so upscale, but not really anymore. They still have great stuff, which is good. It just doesn't feel the same.

Hannah <3

[ i see you from the sky ]

we'd love to be here right now
The last few weeks of school are approaching and we are just aching to get out of this... institution!!! It's not that we're anarchists, it's just that... well, we need a break! The seniors are leaving tomorrow! So soon? Really? We're definitely going to miss these seniors more than the last bunch... a lot more (Hannah: I wonder why Laura...)! So we're just trying to enjoy our last few excel classes and trying to coast through the remainder of tests and quizzes that our teachers are piling onto us. This summer is going to be fun, we know it! My (Laura) first summer without traveling overseas, and MY (Hannah's) first summer with her best friend! We plan on keeping all of you lovely (and not so lovely) people updated on our adventures (and misadventures too!) during these lovely summer days in 2009!

"the countdown begins!"
